Carefully reconditioned. Ready for your home.
A reconditioned stairlift can make moving around your home more affordable. At O’Connor Carroll, we work with stairlifts we originally installed, bringing them back to our workshop and preparing them for their next home.
We check each lift against the manufacturer’s guidance, replace parts where needed, fit new batteries and carry out a full service. Our second-hand stairlifts come with a one-year warranty, and we explain the cover included with your lift before you decide.
From your first conversation to installation, we’ll help you understand the lift you’re choosing and how it will fit into your everyday life.
The right fit for your stairs. And for you.
Your staircase is only part of the picture. During your free home survey, we look at the rail route, space on the landings, seat position and controls, as well as how you will get on and off the lift.
We then talk you through the suitable reconditioned stairlifts available. Stock changes, so we’ll confirm the model and options we can offer for your home. If you have bends or landings, we’ll also explain what the curved rail would need; a rail from another house may not fit your stairs.
You don’t need to arrive with a model in mind. Tell us what you would like to make easier, and we’ll help you explore the possibilities.
Understand the full price before you choose.
A good choice starts with knowing what is included. We’ll talk you through the proposed stairlift, its preparation, the installation and the warranty, so you can compare a reconditioned lift with a new one on more than the headline price.
Your lift: the model, seating arrangement and rail needed for your stairs.
Your installation: the equipment, fitting, VAT and any additional work in your quotation.
Your warranty: what is covered and any exclusions.
Your ongoing support: servicing and how to contact us for help.
Want to weigh up both options? Our new versus reconditioned stairlift guide will help you prepare your questions.
Let’s find an option you feel comfortable with.
Whether you’re enquiring for yourself or helping a parent, we’ll start by listening. Tell us about the stairs, your budget and what matters most to you.
We’ll explain whether a reconditioned lift is a suitable option and how it compares with buying new or renting. You’ll have the information you need to decide, without having to commit to a particular lift before we’ve assessed your home.
